Sharing Purposeful Acts of Kindness

Unlike traditional service programs, our program is co-created with students. It’s not adults deciding what kindness looks like — it’s young people designing and delivering the acts themselves. This approach uniquely combines leadership development, social-emotional learning, and community service into one scalable program, aligned with our mission of amplifying youth voices and creating pathways to success.

Poverty can impede a child’s ability to learn and can contribute to social, emotional and behavioral problems.

Backpacks

Since 2019, students have received 4,800 backpacks and school supplies kits to equip them for success. Each year we assess the needs of Clairton City School District and other schools including Imani Christian Academy to determine what school supplies are needed and then make them available to all students.

Kindness in Action

We believe positive role models and encouraging influences can change the future of one person or even an entire community. The Will Allen Foundation has been able to touch the lives of several communities through purposeful acts of kindness throughout the region.

It is our goal to help reduce educational problems for underprivileged youth in the region by providing backpacks filled with school supplies and hygiene products for the upcoming school year.
