Our Blueprint for Success program, in partnership with enGen, helps students take their first steps into meaningful careers. The Will Allen Foundation and enGen are bridging the gap from high school to real world success right here in Pittsburgh. Forge, enGen’s modernized fulfillment center, recently opened its second location on Neville Island, and with it comes a commitment to invest in local talent.
The Blueprint for Success apprenticeship aims to provide graduating high school seniors an opportunity to earn while they learn, developing professional skills, operating advanced print technology, and gaining real on-the-job experience within a top-tier organization. This creates job security as well as provides advancement opportunities for young adults without the debt.
The program promotes growth within a structured timeline:
- Months 1–3: 50% professional development in areas like communication, problem-solving, and AI tools; 50% on-the-job training
- Months 3–6: Increased printing operations training alongside networking and résumé support
- Months 6 and beyond: Full-time production work with ongoing mentorship and career progression opportunities
Applications for apprentices are open now! WAF is here to prepare students for career growth and support them through every step. Together, we are preparing young adults for work and opening the door to long-term opportunity and stability.
